New Balance’s Lace Up For the Cure Collection

In cooperation with Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists in the world, New Balance presents the New Balance Women’s Walking Shoe, 845. Part of New Balance’s Lace Up for the Cure Collection, the New Balance 845 is the official walking shoe for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk. 15 percent of the wholesale cost of each Lace Up for the Cure shoe purchased will be donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. New Balance has promised to donate a minimum of $500,000 to support breast cancer research and a maximum of $1,000,000.

Susan G. Komen for the Cure and New Balance have been partners in the fight against break cancer since 1989. In 1991, New Balance stepped up their involvement in raising money for a cure by becoming an official sponsor of the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. In 2004 New Balance also became a sponsor of Susan G. Komen’s Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk. Since it was founded in 1982, using charity walks and runs and other fund raising events, Susan G. Komen for the Cure has managed to raise and donate almost a billion dollars to the cause of breast cancer research. New Balance has been instrumental in providing Susan G. Komen for the Cure with critical funding to continue its important mission; a mission that continues to give hope to thousands of breast cancer patients, breast cancer survivors, and their families.
