I checked both the Finn & Drew sites, and I hope those are not the "reference" for fashionable orthotic footwear. All of those shoes are plain ugly and my bunions and I would rather suffer than be seen in any of those.

Hi Janet- You're in luck! We have a Petite Shoes page that you can find here: http://www.healthyfeetstore.com/small-feet-petite-shoes-women.html
Any of the shoes by PW Minor will probably be good for arthritis and pronation. You can take out the removable insoles in those PW Minor shoes and put in an arch support insole like these: http://www.healthyfeetstore.com/powerstep-arch-support-full-length.html and that can help relieve your arthritis pain and incorrect pronation. Let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks,
Amanda

I stumbled (ouch) on your site and was hopeful that I could find a shoe to wear with evening wear this holiday. My challenges are arthritis, over pronating, and small feet (womens 4). Is there such a shoe?
I have never understood high fashion, but would like to NOT look like bride of Frankenstein or wantonly wearing trainers to a fancy function.

Thank you for your informative site and your huge range of ortho shoes.
Janet, age 61

Nancy- I'm sorry but we're just an online store. We don't have any physical stores. We do offer free exchanges, because we understand that sometimes you won't get the perfect fit with the first pair of shoes that you try on. We have a shoe sizing specialist on staff, so feel free to call our customer service 9-5 PST: 866.324.3338

Hi Laci- I e-mailed you but never got a response, so maybe it went into your spam box. I wanted to first say thank you for your comment! We totally understand that a lot of people have trouble finding stylish orthopedic shoes. We sell different levels of orthopedic shoes- everything ranging from very fashionable shoes with soft footbeds and wider widths to the stereotypical orthopedic shoe available in a wide range of widths and with multiple removable inserts (to accommodate thick inserts, perhaps like yours).
To respond to your frustration about ugly orthopedic shoes- it honestly depends on what type of foot condition you have. Because if you have bunions, we do sell fashionable shoes to accommodate them. But there aren’t fashionable shoes made for women with serious foot conditions, because those serious foot conditions need shoes that are low to the ground, very wide, very deep, breathable, etc.
Have you looked at our women’s shoes? You can find them here: http://www.healthyfeetstore.com/womens-orthopedic-shoes.html
We sell fashionable shoes, if you want to take a look at our Spring Step, Softwalk, Naot, Klogs and New Balance shoes (to name some). We also categorize our shoes by condition, so you can look at shoes on our conditions pages.
We have a pedorthist on staff M-F 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pacific Standard Time, if you’d like to call and talk to her. If you tell her about your food condition and your insert, she’ll be able to recommend some shoes to you. 1-866-324-3338
Thanks for reading ur blog and I hope you can find some cute orthopedic shoes to meet your needs,
Amanda

However... when they say that orthopedic shoes are becoming more fashionable do you mean orthopedic shoes that can actually fit MY thick inserts..because whenever I order or try on a pair of supposed orthopedic shoes they never ever fit my inserts... Makes me wonder who the heck has such thin inserts? Let alone, many of these shoes do not even accommodate inserts! The shoe company need to make more of an effort to accommodate inserts because I have yet to find anything thats very good or fashionable...(a little fashionable would be nice)...And newsflash women without problematic feet that just want a nice soft shoe that "pampers" their feet DOES NOT COUNT AS ORTHOPEDIC. I am sick of seeing shoes labeled "orthopedic" that do not accommodate people with REAL orthopedic problems. Please advise.
