After relocating to the West Coast from Pennsylvania to start my job at HealthyFeetStore.com, I had to do some minor tweaks in shoe gear and needed a nifty way to get my essentials from place to place. After using the following three items almost daily my feet love me and I know where most of my stuff is. Honestly, these products have had a huge positive impact in my ability to enjoy life.

1. Moszkito Women’s Flip Flop, Archy Brown – First things first, I discovered the Moszkito Arch Support Flip Flops. Of the almost 500 days I’ve been in San Diego, I have worn these great flip flops probably 400 of those days. The arch support is medium height and fits my arch length. They are leather so they work well on the beach or at the mall, and the straps have a subtle decorative touch – a winner all around.

2. Brooks Women’s Motion Control Running Shoe, Ariel – Since you cannot wear flip flops on all occasions, my fall back shoe is the Brooks Ariel. The construction and technology in these shoes is amazing. They were recommended to me when I lived on the East Coast, but all I saw was a running shoe…and I am not a runner. My resistance was short lived, however, once I got beyond the label and felt what a running shoe could do for a foot that hasn’t run in several decades. No fatigue in the arch or elsewhere, my midfoot is locked in the cradle, and plenty of wiggle room for my toes. Now I am completely out of excuses for the 3-Day Walk in November!

3. Ameribag Healthy Back Bag – Even though carrying a purse keeps my stuff more organized, I’ve never been much of a purse person, but I changed my mind when I tried using the Ameribag. The most important feature for me is that it fits me. I’ve struggled through the fannypacks, the little purses, the clutches, the organizers, the cargo purses. None of them worked for me for a variety of reasons. The Ameribag slings on my shoulder and, most importantly, does not slip off!!! There’s an anti-slip strap that really works. Another great feature is that the inside of the purse has plenty of pockets both inside and out. And I got the distressed nylon Ameribag so it’s machine washable.

I only have one favorite HealthyFeetStore.com product. I own a pair of the Old Friend Men’s Closed Back Adjustable Wrap Sheepskin Slipper, Step-In. I bought them for myself as a Christmas present. Unfortunately I have only been able to wear them three times because I have two roommates who seem to love them even more than I do. It’s almost gotten to the point where I would have to buy them each their own pair if I wanted to keep their feet out of my slippers. I can’t really blame them; if I had to describe these slippers in one word I would say simply “heavenly.” They are the most comfortable and soft things I have ever put my feet in. I hope you get a pair soon. And if you have a roommate and they get a pair of Old Friend slippers, get your own pair instead of taking your roommate’s because I can tell you from experience they won’t like having their slippers taken away. These slippers are much too comfortable to share.
