Thanks for sharing this great information! I wish I had the email address for the guy who sat behind us on our trip to New York so I could send this to him. He had the slip on / slip off shoes but could have really used the smelly feet products!

Hi Cindi- Perhaps you could explain to him that you noticed his toe nails r yellow, and inform him that this is common, but harmful to his health. There are a lot of inexpensive products that can treat toenail fungus quickly and successfully. Go to our page here: http://www.healthyfeetstore.com/conditions-yellow-toenails-fungus.html for some info and products. Maybe remind him that he’s your bro and you love him, but girls don’t dig yellow nails. I just recently wrote a blog post about nail fungus: http://www.healthyfeetblog.com/dont-be-caught-with-nail-fungus That might be helpful as well. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks and good luck!

How do you go about telling your brother (who has black toenails/fungus? to get something done...without embarrasing him.
I live in the desert and when he comes to visit it makes me cringe looking at his feet. Where he lives sandals and barefoot are basically non existent. Thanks....he is visiting soon.

Hi Sheri- our specialist suggests you either step down to a Brooks Addiction 8 or other cross trainer shoe or you use the Ariels without your orthotics so that you don't over-correct. Let us know if you have any other questions.
Thanks,
Amanda

I wear orthotics and also wear Brooks Ariels which are motion control shoes. However, I think I may be overcorrecting. If I am wearing orthotics in a shoe what type of shoe should I use? Can I wear the Ariels without my orthotics? Which is better?

Nancy- I'm sorry but we're just an online store. We don't have any physical stores. We do offer free exchanges, because we understand that sometimes you won't get the perfect fit with the first pair of shoes that you try on. We have a shoe sizing specialist on staff, so feel free to call our customer service 9-5 PST: 866.324.3338

Hi Christa- We recommend you wear a shoe with a slight rocker at the toe box, like Drew shoes. This standard rocker will keep you stable but make it easier to walk. The Drew Women's Mary Jane Bloom II accommodates AFOs and has two removable inserts, so you can probably fit your insole and ankle brace in the shoe. You can see the shoe here: http://www.healthyfeetstore.com/womenshoes5.html
Let us know if you have any other questions.
Thank you,
Amanda

If barefoot running is working for someone, why criticize? I think it's great! If you are excelling while wearing running shoes, that's great too! Do whatever works best for YOU. That is the bottom line.
